Termites and other pests like rodents have become the bane of healthy trees. Trees have been reduced to ashes while others have become shells of what they once were. It is very annoying to see a majestic tree that is full of life be reduced to a husk by millions of small warriors that are eking out their livelihood at the expense of the tree. It is saddening to see a tree that has done so much in reducing pollution levels being given a death sentence so that some termites can put something in their mouths. However, it is the right of these termites to feed on such trees, regardless of what we might be feeling. The truth is that we had no part to play in creating termites. Our job description in this world is to take care of the environment. That is the duty that has been allocated to us by our creator. The only thing we can do is to ensure that these termites feed on the trees in a safe and responsible manner.
